William Peter Blatty's is worse!

It's incredibly dry, gappy, and lasts less than half the running time.

I hate some of the "Director Commentaries" Ugh, when they just sit there and tell you what is happening on the screen, i hate it when you get all excited about commentary tracks and then all you get is "oh and here is where so and so gets into the car and drives off..." I am like YEAH I KNOW I HAVE EYES! Some of the BEST have been Stuart Gordon and the cast on Reanimator and From Beyond. I prefer ones with director and cast, especially if they include a female or two.

I've just had the misfortune of listening to the Eli Roth 'commentary' on the 88Films release of 'Bloodsucking Freaks'

I just hope it was meant as a joke, because if he is serious, he really has no clue!

Can you expand on this?

Well, from the top of my head, Joel Schlesinger stole a lot of the shots and framing for 'Marathon Man' from this film, Oliver Stone's 'Nixon' is a very loose remake and dancing is one of the main motifs for the movie.

In addition to that, it was a huge midnight movie, where people would re-enact scenes 'Rocky Horror' style, including blowing bubbles into their drinks of cola during the brainsucking scene, and throwing popcorn into their hair!

Oh, the Stanislavski method of acting was using during the making of the film, and two of the cannibal girls are now big name actresses (although he cannot name them, for obvious reasons!)
