I dont understand its status as a classic either. The only people that this film could really appeal to, are probably the really disturbed kind. (Or Uni film professors.)
Why would anybody want a 2-disc special edition of this piece of s**t? You would have to be pretty cracked to announce that you enjoy watching this...
I was surprised at how well done this film is unlike the crappy LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT.

It's a sort of a WALKING TALL for feminists.
I didn't find the rape scene even remotely sexy.

I'm one of those who likes this film.

'A Serbian Film' is becoming so annoying. I wish people would see it for the 'shocks for shocks sake' film that it is. I'd probably rate Salo close to, if not the top, of the list of offensive / upsetting / disturbing.

Cool

Racist Tripe like THE GREEN BERETS offend me far more than any grisly horror, tho a film called BANNED IN AMERICA(which shows real-life scenes of death and suffering) was close to being switched off by yours truly on grounds of taste rather than offense.

I'm almost the same which is why, although I recognise it as a monumental cinematic achievement, I can't stand the politics of D.W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation in which the KKK are depicted as heroes.

Can't think of any films that have really 'offended' me, but saw In a Glass Cage earlier in the year and that left quite a nasty taste. A very ugly and depressing film . . .

As a fan of older Zucker movies, I thought I'd check out An American Carol

Just wow. It was just like having the Daily Mail liquidised and injected in to my eyeballs.
