I watched the new no-frills US DVD of Giallo last night.
Thoughts: nowhere as bad as people have been saying. Fairly nasty and an enjoyable police film all round. Nice camera shots too.
It did feel silly that everyone was speaking English in Torino and Brody was pretty square throughout. As an Argento film, it wasn't any worse than his recent attempts, but certainly not a comeback!

Hi,

Is the DVD you got Region 1-locked. I was looking at the back cover on a website and i could not see an icon suggesting so. I hope it's not but something tells me it is.

Thanks

You can't play Region 1 dvds? Hack your player, it is dead simple.

But the good news is it is Region Free.

Thanks. I will order it. Although the fact that you played it on a region unlocked player concerns me!

Are you not able to hack your player?

Who said my player was region unlocked? It isn't. I have a home cinema that doesn't seem to have a hack yet.

It's all explained at the end of the movie by the detective.

Just finished watching the new bd of Tenebre and the new hd master looks very nice.
There's a lot of detail I never even noticed before.

What a great film with so many plot twists and layers/details to explore!

Here's a screencap from the new master.
