A sad loss to the horror industry indeed.
A unique director who's films were an acquired taste for some.

My favourites included;
GRAPES OF DEATH
FASCINATION
ZOMBIE LAKE
NIGHT OF THE HUNTED
KILLING CAR
THE ESCAPEES

RIP Jean

I must admit I've never seen any of his films, although I've read lots about him.

I hadn't heard he was ill. This came right out of the blue for me.

I'm shocked and saddened by this.

Sad news when I heard about this. I've only seen a handful of his films and really like the style and atmosphere (and gore!) on the likes of Living Dead Girl and Grapes Of Death. Need to see more of his films.

Anyone here get any of the dvds in this series?

If so, how's the quality compared to the US and UK Redemption releases, as well as the Encore editions?

I remember seeing Le Frisson Des Vampires on Ch 4 about 10, 12 years ago and really enjoying it. From the groovy prog-rock music up to the memorable scenes, including the female vampire stepping out of the clock on the stroke of twelve and the deaths by spiked nipples!
