It still sits on my shelf unwatched, worried i may compare it to Hobo With a Shotgun which i only watched a few weeks ago.

imo HOBO is much better than MACHETE

Both Hobo and Machete are entirely different films. Sure they're part of the "Grindhouse" project but the two stories and stylistic approaches couldn't be further from each other.

I was really glad that the stupid 'Grindhouse effect' with the deliberate film scratches etc lasted only before the credits...this dumb effect in PLANET TERROR and DEATH PROOF is totally unnecessary and ruins the films esp the former, done to death by Rodriguez
