Default Cannibal Corpse - Pestilential Rictus

It's been out for a week now, I've listened to it quite a few times, it's HEAVY More brutal than Violence Unimagined but still as catchy

The Least Worst of Type O Negative is a strange beast. It's clearly a 'best of' but despite me having all their albums i don't own any of the songs as they appear here in various edits and excellent remixes.

Four songs - Black Sabbath, It's never Enough, Stay Out of My Dreams and Black Rainbows incorporating 29 minutes of the album have never featured on an previous Type O album, although i had heard the Sabbath song when i used to own the covers album Nativity in Black on vinyl.

The Least Worst of Type O Negative is vital and not merely a throw away best of.

Type O Negative - Cinnamon Girl (Depressed Mode mix)

The Least Worst of Type O Negative (1997)

Charlie Clouser (NIN, Rob Zombie and scorer of many horror films including the Saw series did the Depressed Mode mix.

Interesting to see if it charts over here today. Violence Unimagined was Cannibal Corpse' first top 100 placing ever at number 81.

Incidentally for loo reading i dug out the official book of the British charts which lits every top 100 placing for any artist to have a single or album in the UK Top 100 since records began in the early fifties up to the end of 2001.

Although i'm only about two thirds through it it's interesting to see the likes of Napalm Death, Deicide, Nuclear Assault, Obituary and Entombed among those listed.

I've never owned that book in any of it's publications, but I used to borrow it from the library quite regularly when I was younger, always found it interesting!
