Loved Opeth since they released Morningrise in the mid 90's. I adore their Blackwater Park album and was absolutely mesmerised watching them tour that record at Manchester Academy.

For whatever reason i've lost touch with them in recent years and not bought Heritage, Sorceress or In Cauda Venenum but i do have Pale Communion which i admit to not listening to many times. I need to rediscover it.

Unfortunately they get less and less interesting to me after Watershed, and not because they ditched the metal, but because they took the music in a direction that was quite far removed from what they were originally doing. Damnation is a great example of not being ?Metal? but still being Opeth.

I still have all of the CDs though.

I'm the same as you Justin I was pretty obsessed with Opeth when I discovered them but as time went on I lost interest sadly amazing musicians just not for me anymore

At least we still have the earlier albums, and we can put Deliverance on and be blown away by a song like Wreath.

I'll admit that I didn't 'get' this album when it first came out, but after recent re-appraisal I've decided it's absolutely genius and probably very ahead of it's time, and I'm a fool for not listening to it for 20 years
