For whatever reason i've lost touch with them in recent years and not bought Heritage, Sorceress or In Cauda Venenum but i do have Pale Communion which i admit to not listening to many times. I need to rediscover it.

Unfortunately they get less and less interesting to me after Watershed, and not because they ditched the metal, but because they took the music in a direction that was quite far removed from what they were originally doing. Damnation is a great example of not being ?Metal? but still being Opeth.

I still have all of the CDs though.

At least we still have the earlier albums, and we can put Deliverance on and be blown away by a song like Wreath.

The Clan Destined - A Beautiful Start To The End Of The World

In the Big Ending (2006)

Been listening to this today for the first time in ages. A six track album featuring Martin Walkyier, Andy Sneap, James Murphy and Iscariah. A really strong record, a shame it was only a one off.

I'll admit that I didn't 'get' this album when it first came out, but after recent re-appraisal I've decided it's absolutely genius and probably very ahead of it's time, and I'm a fool for not listening to it for 20 years
