July 2nd, 2005 - the global G8 concerts, organised by Sir Bob Geldof were held.

The UK event, which was held in London's Hyde Park, opened up with U2 performing 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' (with guest Paul McCartney), 'Beautiful Day, Vertigo' and 'One'



and ending with the 1-2-3 punch of The Who, performing 'Who Are You?' and 'Won't Get Fooled Again'



Pink Floyd, who appeared as the classic line-up (Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason) playing together for the first time in 24 years. They performed 'Speak to Me', 'Breathe / Breathe (Reprise), 'Money', 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Comfortably Numb'



and finally the return of Paul McCartney who performed 'Get Back', 'Drive My Car', 'Helter Skelter', 'The Long And Winding Road' and 'Hey Jude'
