R.E.M. - What's The Frequency, Kenneth? (Remix)

Can't decide about this version as it makes Michael's voice clearer and possibly gives greater clarity to the base and drums but where the f*ck is the tremolo? The original song is rawer in my opinion.

Of all the bands that have given up, REM are the one i miss the most.

This weeks album listens.

Myrkskog - Death Machine
Nattefrost - Terrorist
Forbidden Site - Sturm und Drang
Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness
Pale Forest - Of Machines and Men
Beseech - Souls Highway
Cradle of Filth - Midian
Norah Jones - Come Away with Me
Lacuna Coil - Black Anima

The new Lacuna Coil album is terrific. I've listened to it twice through today. A lot heavier than some of their work. Andrea growls like a death metal bastard whilst Cristina alternates between angelic and well, a bit poppy really. The images of the band (not Cristina) in the album booklet show a continuation from the last record and tour where they made Slipknot look like choirboys.

I’ve been listening to this, I like it way more than anything else they have put out for years! This one stands for some repeated plays.

It works best as a whole listen because it has prologue and epilogue tracks.

It's not very long - 45 mins - and is easy to digest with headphones on.
