After a dry spell I've become infatuated with 5 albums:

DJ Muggs vs GZA - Grandmasters - from 2005 but somehow I missed it, up there with classic Wu-Tang. Think of it as a hip-hop/chess/horror concept album, every song is incredible.

Muse - 2nd Law - I HATED this on first listen, yet now I absolutely love it, they do this to me every time, transmute shitty influences into pure gold.

Beak - >> - Geoff Barrow out of Portishead is behind this - a Krautrock, Can/Neu tribute, yet totally original. Don't miss this - its on Spotify.

Grandaddy - Excerpts From the Diary of Toddzilla & Just like the Fambly Cat. Old favs but I had missed these last 2 albums which are as good as anything they ever did (especially Cat - best into to an album ever). They were incredible live in Glasgow recently.

I'm bored!

There is nothing on telly, and I have YouTube open in another window

For reasons that now escape me, I typed 'Bad Manners' and 'Lola' into the search window, and low-and-behold...

Actually, it works quote well with a reggae beat

HIM - All For You

One of my favourite songs, and a fantastic voice!

Greetings!

PS: here's the excellent Motörhead original:
