You could try listening to "Dust" ('Witness' and 'Gospel Plow' in particular), and if you like those then maybe you could check out the album as a whole. If it turns out you like the album as a whole you could then investigate their back catalogue.

What was the support band like? Stone gods were it not?
Heard a couple of tracks from their silver spoons and broken bones debut, and their really good, very consistent.

Im probably sticking my neck out here, but i prefer the airbourne album to the new ac/dc one.
Yeah - Stone Gods were the suport band and really good they were, too. Pity you couldn't get to the concert, Dude, but judging by the crowd ( it was packed ) and the reaction, hopefully they will be back in the UK sooner rather than later.

From what I've heard of 'Black Ice', I prefer Airbourne's album too.

Hey Corpsex, I listen to pretty much every type of metal going (or at least have done at some point or another). What kind of bands you reffering to? I listen to a lot of grindcore, death metal, sludge metal etc.

I don't like any Metal at all Corpsex.
I like Nine Below Zero, a great 'hard as nail's London R 'n' B / Blues Rock band.

BTW, NBZ are celebrating 30 years together in 09 with a stack load of extra gig's (Belfast included) and a new original self penned CD as well in 09 .

Anyone who likes music should really try and see this band live. Amazing.!

Anyhow, a 'Unplugged live' DVD partnered with a live Electric CD titled, ' The 2 sides of Nine Below Zero, has just been released and is available at HMV, Zavvi etc.
Make for handy and enjoyable Crimbo pressie's if you ask me, especially at a tenner.

The new Feeder album, Silent Cry, is superb

Takes a few plays but settles down nicely

made some unusual (well, for me anyway) purchases music wise this week. Bought 'Everything is Borrowed', 'A Grand don't Come for Free' and 'Original Pirate material' albums by The Streets and 'A Weekend in the City' by Bloc Party. I've really got into the streets recently, I'm not usually a fan of hip hop/ garage/ grime etc. music (with the exception of Dizzee Rascal) but theres something about them I really like.

for those into metal, the new Satyricon album is superb!
goes back to an older sound for them in parts, a lot more impressive than the previous cd.
