Why is Tommy Thayer (pic 1) wearing the make-up and costume made famous by Ace Frehley (pic 2)?

In the past, new members in the band have been given their own unique make-up design

Sounds good but with Download and Sonisphere already having decent bills it makes me wonder how well it will go down.

Even weirder it clashes with Sonisphere too, ill Stick to going Download, my last experience of Hyde Park was Aerosmith in the pissing rain with a major hangover, and a real shitty crowd that was very against people trying to move to the front.

If it clashes with Sonisphere they'll probably end up cancelling it. Sabbath will never compete with Maiden live. Most people who would go to it will be going to Sonisphere anyway.

Its also on a Friday so clashes with The Prodigy, but yeah its a pretty weird day to have it and a horrible clash for those that want to do the full Sonisphere thing

I never checked the days. I suppose clashing with The Prodigy isn't as bad ,(although personally, as much as i love Sabbath i'd go and see The Prodigy instead) anyone, as you say, who has the weekend ticket won't be going to Hyde Park.
