A lot of my favourite bands come from being introduced to them by other people and are linked to growing up and good times, i just never had any mates who where into Alice Cooper.
I'll try to give some a listen.

Might as well add to it,

Lots of groups I like and quite a few I've seen

Blur
Manics
Prodigy
Muse
Chemical brothers
Inxs

Longpigs
Then Jericho
Talking heads , you get crap groups that keep reforming eg spice girls , why can't we have the last 3 bands \ group i mentioned reform , defiantly go to see them

But I would say my all time favourites

The the
Suede
Big country saw then 3 times and I honestly think the are one of the best bands live always put a hell of a performance .

As much as groups like pink Floyd and Beatles are good I've never really got into them.

Also other groups I like or seen.

I know of at least one person on here who is a massive fan of The Who (Hi, Susan)

The band feature quite heavily in the latest edition of Classic Rock magazine.

See pics of article below.

Thanks for the heads up

It looks like the article concentrates on The Ox, which makes a change because most features are about Daltrey, Townshend or Moon. Because Entwistle was 'the quiet one' on stage, he is often overlooked, which is a shame because he was an essential member of the band

Apparently, in the early days of the band, he became aware that there was no way he could contend with the other 'three frontmen' (Pete [with his windmilling, smashing equipment and musical histrionics], Roger [with his microphone throwing] and Keith [being Keith!]) so he decided that to get noticed, he would...do nothing, but stand stock still on the stage!

I'd say he was an equal in the band, but he was without a doubt the best bass player in rock music
