Growing up in the 1970s/1980s, was a huge Kiss fan with all four walls full of their posters. Lately, I've become a big Deep Purple fan again since guitarist Steve Morse joined them in '94. AOR/melodic rock music is never far from the player. Overall today, would say favourite bands are probably Kansas and Jethro Tull. Prog's nice too, like Gentle Giant or Marillion. Also, the German pop/folk band Godewind is important got the name there.

Have you heard Whitesnake's new record The Purple Album?

Haven't heard it yet, no. Some say it's more metal-like than good is, which is surprising to me given Coverdale's bluesy background.

I like all kinds of shit but i'm really fond of Heavy Metal. Megadeth, Pantera etc. I also have a soft spot for death/black metal. A lot of people think it's lame and sounds like shit but that's a good reason why I like it.

And now a trivial question: The Beatles... or The Rolling Stones? Neither? Or both?
