| John Carpenter
Got to see the legend perform in Dublin yesterday. It was a wonderful night with an enthusiastic crowd. Everybody was having a great time. But, best of all was Carpenter himself. In the last few years, he looked tired, beaten and bitter - I can't blame him as it must be depressing to have studios and newcomers remake and pilfer your work whilst you can't get anything greenlit. However, the Carpenter I saw last night was a far cry from that. He looked a lot better and he seemed to be enjoying himself as much as the crowd. The music was quite good too. I'll admit that the Halloween theme doesn't work so well as a club anthem, but the theme from In the Mouth of Madness went down a storm. I've attached some blurry photos of Carpenter. They're terrible, but hopefully they'll convey how much fun he was having up there.
