Has Bill from Code Red claimed Don't Go in the Woods is a bootleg yet?

Don't Go in the Woods has always looked like a bootleg.

And I'm looking forward to seeing the dreadful film in HD! I wonder what else 88 Films have got lined up?

Both they and Vinegar Syndrome have Graduation Day (I think 88 are utilising VS's 4K transfer for their release) so maybe we'll see some more crossover... VS are supposed to have Funeral Home and The Slayer so it would be great to see them get the 88 treatment too.

Addendum: It would be great if 88 decided to post here again, as not only have they a ready made section at their disposal, but now they have branched off from the Charles Band/Full Moon titles I'm sure their potential consumer base has increased quite a bit and there are bound to be people on here (me included) and elsewhere who are interested in hearing more about their current, upcoming, and future plans in respect to releases.

Absolutely, the Full Moon and general Troma stuff doesn't interest me in the slighest. Slashers and other horror titles do, I will eventually own an 88 Films release.

Just out of interest what do people think of The Last Horror Film / Fanatic? I'm tempted to blind buy but I've never really read too much about.

Honest answer - It doesn't live up to its original vhs artwork. It's no Maniac. There's also a lot of padding around the Cannes festival.

The only one I own so far is Bloodsucking Freaks. If you like weird and sleazy exploitation and/or Herschell Gordon Lewis you should dig it. Technically it was distributed by Troma, but not an 'actual' Troma picture like say Toxie and Nuke 'em High are.

Like Dem said it's no Maniac, but I still really like it. It swaps some of the menace and grit for dark comedy and general weirdness. The pace is a little stilted at times but it makes for an entertaining unofficial loose sequel to Maniac.
