Can anyone explain to me how this Zombie Holocaust restoration thing works?

I know that sounds cynical how i explained it but it's not a lie. Other companies do it. Arrow for example with the WB box set. It gets the product out there and guarantees it doesn't make a loss for the restoring / releasing company. |

I'm only speculating none of what i'm saying is fact. However when only 15 people pre-ordered the Bloodsucking Freaks dvd they pulled it from the release schedules. So i would think it's a safety first way of releasing a film. |

Everyone does it. Rob Thomas did it with the Veronica Mars movie, as Warner didn't want to spend all the money themselves on something they didn't think would get them a return on their investment. I have no problem with 88 going this route with trying to get funds to restore Zombi Holocaust. Tbh, I don't know if they'd get 7 1/2 grand in sales from this, so I think fans helping, and knowing they were a part of something like this, is a great idea.

If they do not meet their target does the restoration still go ahead ?
