It's hard to tell how old I was for the Welles series. I would have been 7-8 for the first run, but as I understand it not all these programmes aired at the same time on the ITV network, and I definitely didn't catch many of them, so I could have been older.
I would have been two when the Welles series aired so i had no chance of catching it.

Aside from Doctor Who in 75 when i was four and caught episodes of The Pyramids of Mars and Brain of Morbius and then all of it following Morbius i don't really recall any tv until things like Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century aired on Saturday evenings from around 78 onwards.

To be honest most of these anthology shows that Network are releasing just passed me by or I only caught the odd episode. Doctor Who was a religion from The Three Doctors onwards - before that I only caught it in patches. The programmes, besides the puppet shows like Thunderbirds, that I remember vividly, were UFO, Thriller (which I watched with my mother) and kids programmes like Timeslip. I also remember making sure I watched Ghost Story for Christmas every year.

Was Timeslip any good, Rob?

I don't think i'd heard of any of the ITV anthology series until i came across Network aside from Tales of the Unexpected and Hammer House of Horror and Hammer House orf Mystery and Suspense.

What i find slightly annoying is i used to go to Cult TV Weekenders in the mid to late 90's and early 00's where they had guests on from all these shows Network released like The Champions and UFO but at the time i hadn't seen any of them. How i'd like to go back in time now i own the box sets...i'd have probably had to stay sober and take in all the guests rather then just the Doctor Who, Blakes 7, X-Files types.

This is the weekender website if you aren't familiar with them.

my memory is sketchy in terms of quality but it kept me interested as a kid. the part with the bodies underneath the ice freaked me out quite a bit.

I am loving the certificates at the start of Network titles.
I wish more labels would do this.

Me too, reaps. Since HMV’s troubles, Amazon’s prices are just taking the piss.
