Was curious about The Others, it was a (wisper it) weinstein production, does this mean more in the future? Hope we can get some decent special features if so.

You can shout because it wasn't a Weinstein film. Dimension merely distributed it in the States. It's a Spanish film all the way.

StudioCanal have always owned it's international rights outside Spain and the US.

I did not know that Dem. I'd always assumed it was Alejandro AmenÃ*bar's US directorial debut. Its a wonderful film either way, probably one I'd upgrade if StudioCanal release something fancy.
Manhunter is another SC title I'm curious about, I love the film but the current blu looks rather good to my eyes.
Interestingly you mentioned U-571 earlier, I've only seen it the once when it first came out but I remember being bored silly. Did I miss something?

Probably not. I just like submarine films and i like war films.

Although the discs of The Others say Miramax on them they still also say Optimum which is / was StudioCanal.
