Yeah the Anchor Bay Satanic Rites is expensive... Lucky that Alpha and Cleopatra also released this as I have still yet to pick it up.

The same goes for Hammer's Abominable Snowman. Unfortunately expensive on both US and UK DVD. One that needs a re-issue I think!

Hopefully a lot of these OOP ABUS titles will get re-releases in the near future.

I remember the DD Video disc of Abominable turned up in a discount shop near me with the shocking price of 99p!

It's about time some company like Warner or Optimum released a decent uncut DVD of Satanic Rites, this is one of my favourite Hammer flicks.

The old UK cinema cuts are lost forever alas though the US DVDs (and UK TV showings) restore the additional video cut.

It's one of my guilty pleasures too. Far more fun than Dracula AD.

It's the only Hammer Dracula film that is yet to be released in the UK!

I hope it's released uncut one day. We also need the full restored version of Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell on DVD. It's already available but it's cut.

Funnily enough, I think I have the uncut version on video !

The old UK video of Monster From Hell featured the cut cinema print. The DVD features a slightly longer version of the US R-rated print (which is cut differently).

The German Anolis DVD is the unrated print and basically intact.

I watched Optimum's SE of Hardware last night. Great pq; an improvement on my Red Edition.

I've got the Anolis DVD of Monster from Hell, I love the atmosphere created in this flick, it's probably my favourite of Hammer's Frankenstein series along with The Curse of Frankenstein and Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed.Anolis did a fine job with restoring the film to it's gory glory too.

I have the Anolis print too. Great fun. Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed is my favourite Hammer Frankenstein and definitely one of Cushing's nastiest screen performances too.

I also own the Anolis version-so far definitive!

There's a pretty decent R4 release of SATANIC RITES OF DRACULA....4;3 though if I remember rightly....
