I simply don't have time to trawl through all of this thread so my apologies if this has been mentioned before. But surely i can't be the only one here who thinks that Shameless and Arrow are possibly and slowly working their way through Vipco's back catalogue before endeavouring to release a slew of new titles?

I mean Shameless have given us both Bronx Warriors actioners, The New Barbarians and The New York Ripper. Let's not forget Cannibal Holocaust and The House On The Edge Of The Park on the way too. All former Mike Lee acquisitions.

Likewise, Arrow have delivered delightful donations of The House By The Cemetery, City Of The Living Dead, The Beyond and Island Of Death. Once again, all prior Vipco stock from years ago.

Is it truly too much of a stretch of credibility to surmise that perhaps both of the above enterprising U.K. labels are showing Mike Lee how it should be done, one release at a time? I'd like to think so especially seeing as the likes of The Case Of The Bloody Iris, The Violent Professionals, Rats:Night Of Terror, The Nights Of Terror and Zombie Creeping Flesh are all still denied improved editions in the U.K.

Of course, this is all pure speculation on my part but what do others think here?

Can't be too sure but... As Vipco went bust the creditors want dosh quick as poss. So what's wrong with Shameless/Arrow jumping in and grabbing some bargains. It just may be commerce, pick em up cheap and use profits to get rights to more costly stuff later. Would be suprised if vipco stuff has same price as unreleased cult flicks. Not forgetting international copyright is a right mare. That would be my call.

Vaults have good artwork and Screamtime don't. Also the screamtime versions of THE BEYOND, THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY and MOUNTAIN OF THE CANNIBAL GOD are cropped.
