Not quite. The last 2 CR blus I did this way worked out a bit more expensive as you pay Bill $7.00 for postage to your Shipito address then when they're in your box you get options to post to the UK. The cheapest option is around $7.00 but that's uninsured and can take up to 40 days... the next cheapest is $27.00 and takes a week (ish) but is insured. You get to put the contents and value on the packaging. If you put above $20.00 chances are you will be hit with a £12.00 plus import fee. If you put less, like I do ($15.00 - used optical discs) then if it does go missing you get a loss on your insurance claim.

Diabolik for up to 5 discs average postage around $25.00 and is insured. Jessie will replace your discs if the claim is valid. Swings and roundabouts, mate but still a lot cheaper than the EBay scalpers if you're after a couple of films that just don't seem to be appearing on Diabolik.

Alternatively you could buy something from a British label and not give Bill any money.

You don't need to pay $4 a month, you can sign up for free to get three free locations to ship to. The California one is the best to use, it's located next to an airport so it offers Airmail shipping, which is by far the cheapest. But you have to bear in mind Code Red will also charge shipping, so combined it works out around what Diabolik charge. The obvious benefit being the cartel has more stock than Diabolik and give you more of a window. You set the customs declaration yourself, and I've had no problems with customs, however, it's worth noting a couple of people here did. I'm not sure how though. They take photos of your package arriving, departing, offer a range of services for very little cost (they can combine packages, remove shipping notices from the package, add more protection, etc). Touch wood I've not had any issues so far.

It's worth noting if you use them for the likes of Amazon you'll get charged tax depending on which location you use (not by Shipito, but from the retailer themselves). I think that's why they have the subscription service, to offer locations in states that don't get charged tax from big retail outfits. Thankfully Code Red don't charge sales tax.

But considering the $ to £ conversion is at a 31 year low, it's probably worth waiting to see if it gets better.

And when UK labels start releasing uncut versions of Cannibal (Jungle Holocaust), Giallo a Venezia, Cut and Run, House by the Edge of the Park, The Forest, The Love Butcher, Porno Holocaust, Erotic Nights of the Living Dead, Mountain of the Cannibal God, etc, etc, then I will! I'm not holding my breath, though!

And If you buy from Diabolik, you are not giving a penny to Bill because Jessie has already paid for the films, you are paying Diabolik. Which is a good thing! I get the "Fu*k Bill Brigade" because the man is indefensible but I'm in the "Yay Jessie Camp!"

I was expecting a full on BBFC rant there. You let me off lightly or didn't fall into my Bait Boo trap.

I new to this. I'm aware of Code Red but what exactly has this Bill done. I even read about him on other sites.

The bloody BBFC!... wooly decisions!..... moral upbringing!..... bastards!...... Lol!! The Luddite in me is waning as I get older and grow weary of raging against the machine, telling the PC brainwashed/Health and safety indoctrinated, under 40 year old Philistines the truth, it's like trying to convince a North Korean that Kim is actually mad..... "But he's so much better than he used to be...!"

Oops....did it again!! Happy now Dem...

Oh shit dude....where to start?? Perhaps the most rude, ignorant, dumb ass ever to release films...ever!
He insults customers, slags off other companies, has a poor grasp of the English language, complains that he never sells enough of his product while others sell bucket loads, throws tantrums over the slightest perceived criticism and lies constantly.
Example; 3 people complained that there was digital noise for a couple of frames on Vampires Night Orgy so he withdrew it saying it would never be released again. 2 months later, it's back.
Has an ongoing "war" with 88 Films because they had the audacity to release Nightmare (in a Damaged Brain) when he had released it.
Fell out with Diabolik because they sold 88 Films on their website.
Went into a full blown rant and sulk when 88 used "his term" Bucketlist.
It goes on and on... he used to post to the UK but stopped claiming 36 packages went missing out of 103. This one I do have a bit of sympathy for as EBay was suddenly flooded with CR discs a week later....
But he's a dick. I actually find him very amusing as he is so totally over the top. And despite the hate for him he seems to keep on chugging out releases at a rate that other companies can only dream of even though he rants that he's "never selling anything!"
It's worth keeping an eye on his FB page just for laughs!

And all of the above is why I collect CR Blu's. They can be a pain to get hold of, never cheap and you have the added bonus of Bill himself. Why collect something everyone can get hold of? Go for the hard option, it's more fun!!

Wow. I'm actually laughing at this stuff. It seems so melodramatic. The fact that he had a meltdown because somebody else used the term "bucketlist" is absolutely priceless.
