Or maybe lower prices. Films like the latest Code Red releases are hardly classics and several have previously been released by the the company under diferent guises, so naturally they won't sell as well as films with a wider audience.

Midnight legacy just posted on facebook to say their considering withholding their releases until the market looks better. Apparently they had some troubles getting the discs into stores. Apparently the fan base is not there any more....
Their website leaves a bit to be desired. Have they only got one film?

They have been over in rome aquiring prints to release, mainly stuff no one else has bothered releasing, (just like their alien 2).

So far they have one release under their belts and they did such a good job with it quite a few of us were looking forward to see what was coming next..

I still need to get that Alien 2 disc...

The other thing about Code Red is they're releasing way too much for the economy and distribution networks as they are. I know record labels that don't release anywhere near that rate and some of them are download only! If you're going to release anywhere near that volume it has to be dirt cheap.

They previously released stuff on dvd-r's and vhs, not sure how official it all was and i'm fairly certain a lot of it was on-demand. Alien 2 was their first official release, available online and in stores.

The job they did on the restoration is one of the best representations on the possibilitys of cult films about.

very true, I'm mr minimum wage and i've probably spent near 100 quid this payday on discs, even i'm having trouble keeping up! (not to mention dwindling space on my shelves and a collection so big I could open my own rental store)

Alien 2 [Blu-ray] [1980] [US Import]: Amazon.co.uk: Mark Bodin, Ciro Ippolito, Belinda Mayne: Film & TV

My amazon review gives a more lenghty review but basically, if you enjoy some of the more cheesy, gorey eighties italian horror movies its entertaing, even if it dosent make all that much sense.

Is it a good film? no. Is it a fun film, YES!
