Default Hammer on DVD/BD Thread

I looked it up on WowHD on my way home, it’s the films that Final Cut Ents put out over here 1 disc per film, that set is 4 discs for 8 films. The UK ones are certainly watchable but not new masters I imagine these ones are the same or a little worse.

The UK set only has four films though but does have a 1 hour doc about Hammer.

Are there any extras?

The way you phrased that made it sound like you hadn't watched them.

I haven't watched all of them, but I have watched some of them. But since I've had countless DVDs and Blu-rays for years and still haven't gotten around to watching them, that was a pretty fair assumption!

So if you are going to buy them and store them and never watch them...then the transfers are perfectly acceptable...

I may not have watched a great many of them yet, but it is my intention to watch them all. Why else would you bother to purchase them?

That set was released 2016 so likely to be the same masters as those used on the Final Cut releases - good picture quality but some will be in the wrong aspect ratio.

Indicator have already re-released 3 of them in one of their boxsets in new remasters and the correct aspect ratio.

Rumour has it that Indicator have 4 of the others for a future boxset release. No doubt they will use the most recent masters for them and correct any aspect ratio issues.

Paranoiac is still with Final Cut but has always had an excellent master so I have no reason to believe this set will not have the same picture quality - I have the previous Eureka release.
