After my New Year celebrations were over, I watched something quite depressing and arty, and decided to tail end that with Humongous. I was quite surprised at how good it looked, after seeing numerous posts on various forums about how bad the picture was, but it looked perfectly servicable to me (upscaled courtesy of my blu-ray player). The plot was a pretty standard affair, very much by the numbers for this type of film, but I found it to be well directed. Some great scenes, a nice building of atmosphere, some superb framing. I found it very enjoyable.

The main complainer on the web works at a video rental store. He didn't even buy the dvd and he's complaining. Oh well.
