'Slow Dancing in the Big City' (1978) - Coming soon to Blu-ray from Scorpion Releasing

"The film stars Paul Sorvino as an aging out of shape reporter who falls in love with the beautiful but sickly ballerina Anne Ditchburn. The film was directed by the infamous John G. Avildsen who directed multiple Rocky and Karate Kid films. The release will feature a brand new 4K scan of the Interpositive with bonus features that include interviews with composer Bill Conti (Rocky) and co-star Nicolas Coster.

While this may not be everyone's cup of tea, this particular film actually was given two thumbs up by Siskel and Ebert and is a personal favorite of Walt Olsen. We hope that this release will find a new generation of fans as it's been out of circulation for years."

"***NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT***
“Scorpion Releasing and Kino Lorber Studio Classics have teamed up again to bring the masses the 1972 cult classic, politically charged, adult animation black comedy Fritz the Cat. Featuring the directorial debut of Ralph Bakshi (Wizards, The Lord of the Rings, Fire and Ice), the film revolves around a college student cat named Fritz (created by the iconic Robert Crumb) and a cast of other quirky characters engaging in sex, drugs, and other profane debauchery. Fritz the Cat makes it's Blu-ray debut later this year. Stay tuned for more updates by following us, Scorpion and Kino Lorber!”"

"***NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT***
The folks at Scorpion Releasing and Kino Lorber aren't done with Fritz the Cat just yet as both companies are proud to also present the Blu-ray debut of the 1974 sequel to the original film, The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat. Fritz is now a family man and trapped in domestic hell, but that doesn't stop him from sparking up a joint and dreaming about the adventures he could have with each of his 9 lives. The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat is coming soon, so stay tuned for more updates by following us and Kino Lorber!"

'PRIVILEGE' (1967) - Coming to Blu-ray in February from Scorpion Releasing

"Scorpion Releasing is proud to announce the North American Blu-Ray debut of PRIVILEGE, the acclaimed 1967 classic from director Peter Watkins

From the maker of the legendary banned BBC production The War Game, this look at a chilling future takes place in an England where a repressive government uses pop idol Steven Shorter (Paul Jones of the legendary group Manfred Mann) to control the masses. However, the demands start to take a massive toll on Steven, especially when he becomes attached to the beautiful Vanessa (model and Swinging London icon Jean Shrimpton)

Unavailable for years in the United States, Privilege will be presented in a high-definition transfer with a new audio commentary by film historian Daniel Kremer, recently heard on such titles as The Ipcress File and Get Crazy

Shockingly relevant today, this "uncanny prediction of how mass media could be used as such effective propaganda" (BFI) is a rock-fueled blend of satire and a cautionary tale whose time has come."
