Because they want everyone to rush and buy immediately. Don't forget if you buy direct Arrow take the money immediately for stuff that in some cases doesn't get into customers hands for months.

It might be worth a go, but reading people's interpretations online (a bit like with David Lynch's films such as Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive) often helps.

Well December is going to be a cheap month for me those releases. Nothing of interest at all, The Burning I may pick at a later date but I already bought the Aussie Blu which is perfectly fine. I'm a bit disappointed at the lack Bava this year and no Fulci at all from Arrow. Someone has the rights to Seven Notes in Black!

I remember it being excellent, although not as good as Ringu or Dark Water. However, I'll rewatch my DVD before pre-ordering the BD.

Arrow Academy "Time for our December Academy announcement! NEW UK TITLE: Woody Allen: Six Films - 1979-1985 Blu-ray Arrow Academy’s second Woody Allen collection covers 1979-85 Pre-order your copy here: Woody Allen: Six Films - 1979-1985 A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy, Stardust Memories and Zelig will also be released as stand-alone Blu-ray’s on the same day. Pre-order your copies via the links below: Pre-order A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy: A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy Pre-order Stardust Memories: Stardust Memories Pre-order Zelig: Zelig Arrow Academy’s second Woody Allen collection covers 1979-85, during which he made many of his best-loved films. These begin with Manhattan, a sublime Gershwin-scored Panavision love-letter to his home city, and end with The Purple Rose of Cairo, a wistfully affectionate romance about the cinema’s past that also doubles as a hilariously fantastical farce. In between there’s the Felliniesque, fascinatingly self-analytical Stardust Memories; the bucolic romp A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy (the first of thirteen films starring Mia Farrow); the technically and conceptually astonishing Zelig, in which a “human chameleon” bears witness to many of the 1920s and 30s cultural and political upheavals; and the perfectly-formed Broadway Danny Rose, a comedy about a theatrical agent who gets mixed up with the Mob. By now, Allen was working with a tightly-knit regular team: cinematographer Gordon Willis, designer Mel Bourne, editor Susan E. Morse and producer Robert Greenhut worked on nearly all of these, achieving an enviable consistency of style at a time when American cinema was moving away from the notion of the auteur director. Collection includes: • Manhattan (1979) • Stardust Memories (1980) • A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy (1982) • Zelig (1983) • Broadway Danny Rose (1984) • The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) Exclusive to this collection: Manhattan and a hardback book featuring new and archive writing on all the films. FIRST PRESSING ONLY: Collector’s booklet featuring new writing by Michael Pattison and Brad Stevens"

Not at all bothered by the Guyver. Dark hero was much better Cohen and tate is excellent and I'm definitely getting that. The Blu-ray of Donnie Darko is very sub-par so It'll be nice to get a proper restoration. Just flogged my Blu-ray online. Pulse. Very happy with this, great movie. Hell comes to frogtown. Like Stephen I'll see if someone wants my version for loadsamoney if not then no need to buy it again Hellgate..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Kill it again its soul is still dancing. |
