A couple of quotes from a few months ago from someone who works for Arrow (it would seem) from the Criterion forum that caught my eye:

Quote:
...we're actually restoring quite a few titles this year. The distinction here, which we probably didn't make clear, was that whilst most of our Blu-rays (and those of any label) are derived from HD digital transfers, usually supplied by licensors such as MGM, Fox, Universal etc., the title we are announcing tomorrow is restored in 2k from the OCN (original camera negative) and it's been approved by the director. This really sets it apart from the other Blu-ray titles, which will look very nice, but as you may have seen from other recent restorations when a film is restored in 2k, or 4k if you have money to spend (usually the preserve of studios) or hell 8k (if you have money to burn), then it's really going to be that bit more special!
Quote:
James [White] is working on 7 restorations, all from OCNs for us right now. Obviously we can't say more than that, in fact we probably shouldn't have said even that...
I believe the title they talk about in the first quote is Time Bandits, so there are 6 more restorations from the original camera negatives James White (the guy who restored Zombie Flesh Eaters) is working on at Arrow.

The fact that one is from HandMade Films makes me hope a certain other will be... *dares not mention it again*

We know Time Bandits and White Of The Eye are in that category.

Nightbreed directors cut? I would be a very happy man, but I doubt it's going to be that.

This might help
