Not really the same. Hope there's a standard edition as well.

If it's anything like the Battle Royale release, there will be.

Doesn't look like it Nos. Other than the 5.1 sound mix and the booklet it has the same as the Criterion which does have significantly more. They have said more extras TBA though so you never know although in my eyes the Criterion release is pretty tough to beat.

It's one of the best packages Criterion have released, so it's virtually impossible to beat. That said, if there are some exclusive extra features, I'll add it to my collection.

It says disc 2 & 3 are exclusive to the limited set, so I'd imagine they'll put out others, especially if it ends up like Battle Royale and we get about 5 different releases of it.

Seems a bit odd that you get SD versions of the 2 early Hooper films on dvd as well as on bluray but no SD release of the main feature? Doesn't matter to me of course but they then could have sold it as a Dual Format release. Wonder if it was a contractual obligation to release TCM2 BD only as has been the case with some releases in the past.

Indeed. It's the jewel in my collection. There'll be no double dipping from me . . .
