Eh, I've always considered Big Trouble as one of Carpenter's weakest.

Other way round for me, I consider it one of his best, childhood memories I guess. Same as I don't get the love for They Live, Rowdy Roddy Piper is almost as wooden as that other guy who I won't mention for fear of a ban

I'm definitely in a minority regarding Big Trouble (can't comment on They Live). It's just that I never thought the action, comedy and fantasy gelled together particularly well.

And it's disappointingly anticlimactic.

It also appears The Long Goodbye is an Arrow Academy title

Yep, it is indeed. After seeing it. i asked Arrow on Facebook if there was any chance of releasing Marlowe, starring James Garner sometime. "No plans at the moment" was their reply.

Me too, although even a weaker Carpenter film is still great compared to the vast array of crap out there!

I've also never seen The Long Goodbye, but reading about it on IMDb, it seems that I need to.

Does everyone think it should be an Academy release? I've not seen it but reading up online and seeing screenshots it just seems out of place to me for the Academy range. I may be completely wrong so just playing Devils Advocate

As it would seem out of place as an Arrow Video release due to its age and genre, I think it's perfect as an Arrow Academy title.
