Teased on the Cinema Arcana FB page regarding the Fantasia Festival: "Arrow Video are debuting their fresh-water restoration of William Grefe’s STING OF DEATH (1966), the first bit of public confirmation towards their long-rumored collection of the Florida exploitation mainstay’s work. The film centers around a pool partyin’ group of spring breakin’ bikini gals who run afoul a man-sized jellyfish monster, escaped from the Everglades and determined to find love at all costs! Full of groovy tunes, shakin’ butts and the most ridiculous cryptid ever seen on cinema screens, it’s a guaranteed good time for fans of silly ‘60s regional horrors. Lucky to have survived at all— Something Weird Video had to literally scrape mold off the negative for their DVD—Arrow’s all new 4K refurbishment should work wonders for the film’s sunny, colorful visuals." |

Arrow's Gamera set arrived today! Astounding release! Beautiful packaging. Yes, it will be a nightmare to house but it can keep my Godzilla & HG Lewis sets company! My vote for release of the year FROM ANY LABEL Thank you Arrow, top stuff! |

The Gamera set basically puts the Criterion Godzilla set (which I love btw) to shame! The difference? The people producing the Arrow set LOVE the movies they are working on! You can see it in every detail. I wish Arrow would have got Godzilla rights, I can only imagine the set we would have got. |
