Think of it as a seven episode trial run for the main series.

When you get the main series you will notice it doesn't carry on but re-starts from scratch as if the ova story never happened. Anime does this occasionally. Tenchi Muyo is the best example though the short ova series that launched that was WAY better than anything that preceded it.

Also, if people here are going to collect the Patlabor series as its released, I highly recommend watching the wicked 13 movie last. It focuses on two peripheral characters from the series the two police detectives.... the labor team only briefly appears.

Can't say about the Eva Bd's bdc. Will be keeping an eye on them though. I still need to get the limited edition BD of 2.22 first. Maybe fopp will have it...

Nisemongatori looks good as well....

Does anyone think they will ever release this on Blu-Ray? i still have the VHS which has a nice English dub, however they ain't holding up too well from years of re-watches.

It's quite possible. I did hear talk of a number of Go Nagai titles being translated to english and their adaptation released in the UK from Anime Entertainment ltd. so never say never.

I will be picking up the Patlabor blu,noticed there's more of them over in the US.
I guess they will be coming to the UK as well?
