I still haven't watched the season finale episode, TWD has gone right off the boil for me this year - I suppose because nothing is happening, we're in the same situation as we were two years ago

You should, I was cheering at my telly

The season was all about the build up to All Out War, which was a great arc in the comics, so season 8 should be a non stop action filled season (if they do the comic justice!)
