Hit Man (1972) Great black version of Get Carter (1971)! |

Both Trouble Man and Coffy come highly recommended as does Hit Man based on what i've seen of it. Where's the official DVD release of the latter title, eh? However, The Human Tornado and Dolemite never really did it for me despite having the odd amusing moment here and there. Nothing personal against the late Rudy Ray Moore but imo Blaxploitation's best badasses remain Fred 'The Hammer' Williamson and Jim Brown. Class acts both these guys. |

Hit Man has had an official release through Warner's mod discs: Axelmusic also carries these btw. |

Watching some of these trailers on the Grindhouse Trailer Classics DVD has whetted my appetite for more. I'd really like to see some of these. |

You should seek out The Disco Godfather, The Human Tornado, Truck Turner and Dr Black and Mr White for a start. You can't go wrong with any of those.

I have just ordered a copy of the Spook Who Sat By The Door from Amazon. As I probably have said many times before, its not only my favourite Blacksploitation film, easily one of favourites of any genre. |

I'm well aware Rudy Ray Moore has a sizeable following and i've no problem with that. But i must admit i do find the late entertainer's brand of Blaxploitation to be something of an acquired taste. |
