Don't be sad. They are good fun (though it seems they don't appear to be your cup of tea). I love it when these flicks dip into unusual sexual practices. All part of their charm.

To be honest there isn't that much XXX in it, and unlike 'Caligula' there are no snot shots. The hardcore is mostly brief snippets that pep up the action. As Loops says, the snake bit looks fake (I suggest 'Shocking Africa' for some genuine snake mis-use). The dog bit is brief with a couple of shots of its boner and the animal pounding away. Nothing too graphic, over with quite quickly....but what fun. I feel like re-watching it again reading this thread.

The BBFC cut the film by 15 minutes last time in the 80's.

It was due to be released on DVD here under the title Confessions of Emanuelle, but appears to have been scrapped.

In this months issue of Darkside The Severin boys said that optimum submitted it without actually watching it beforehand only to be told by the bbfc that its content was illiegal under uk law.

I'll like to have a look at that Darkside issue, so thanks for that.

They could still have released it with cuts which would surely have been considerably less severe than last time....20 years ago. A lot of what the BBFC see is illegal under UK law hence the cuts still being made.

I was just curious to know exactly what cuts the BBFC would waive today going from its last submission. I haven't actually seen the film by the way.

The cuts would be to the hardcore bits, bestiality, the rape scene and few other bits and pieces. I reckon about 5 - 6 minutes. There is a soft version but i have never seen that version so i cant comment on it. I would like to see what the bbfc would make of Caligula the Untold Story.

Thanks. 6m is a lot less severe than some of the other films that have been cut in recent years.

Was it definitely a severin submission? I thought it was Optimum.
