I tried emailing them saying I didn't give a **** if there was a risk of my package getting lost in the mail and that they should offer posting stuff cheaper at peoples own risk.

Didn't get a response.

It's stupid they charge so much. I've always thought it would put lots of people off buying from them. Which it seems it has done from what you guys are saying. Bit stupid of them to do this really from a financial point of view.

I just keep trying amazon and ebay until copies turn up at an all right price.

I really like some Troma 'in house' productions. Toxie, Class of Nuke em, Poultrygeist etc. There's alot of fun to be had. But some of the films they have chosen to distribute from indie filmmakers are pretty unwatchable. I'll give anything a go, have to finish it because of OCD - and then think 'jeeezus'.

In fairness to Troma they have been going years - against all odds in the states, so fair play to them.

Oh god yeah, I really agree with you on that one. They've put out some truly ****ing awful movies in the past!

Guess they can make some money from it or something. Just can be a bit shit to see a Troma logo on a dvd and then find out the movie is actually insanely boring.

Yeah, Troma are a bit hit and miss with some of their titles. I've always had some love for the Toxie series though, and am hoping the new one currently in the works lives up to the others.

Poultrygeist and Terror Firmer are a blast, but some other typical non-tromatastic fare released on their label are worth checking out too IMO. In particular, I've found The Hanging Woman, Combat Shock, and Mother's Day to be worth a look. The Last Horror Film was also pretty interesting (particularly to fans of Maniac... ). Still, plenty of Troma stuff I haven't seen, and some of it will undoubtably be garbage unfortunately.
