That's really annoyinning mate video mould grrrrr it's ruined my monty python vid. do give up hope you'll prob be able to replace em and as for collecting video sleeves i say go for it some tapes u may find might have mould but sleeve may be worth purchase if for pennies

Really a shame about the mold,that and a chewed tape are probably the most annoying things to get...

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, Kyle, this is one thing I have been worried about myself.

How is it you could tell? Is VHS mould the one where you get white powder on your tapes? When I heard about this I checked mine but they all look fine. I think I have been lucky as most of the ones I have bought have been from other collectors who I guess look after their tapes better than 'civilians'. One thing that worries me is the possibility that a tape might look fine when rewound, but mould could be present in another part of the tape that is not visible, meaning that you could inadvertantly play an infected tape and infect all your others.

yeah its the white powder stuff, some have a lot and others only a tiny bit but i dont want to risk it.

i have put the covers into a ring binder in plastic wallets and they look great, might consider learning how to use photoshop and scanning my covers to make new dvd covers with the vhs art work and transfer the tape to dvd, using an old vcr

not been much around lately and i have stopped using ebay for my vhs as it was taking part of the fun away


picked up these over the last couple of days apart from planet of the vampires- a huge thank you to demdike for that





tomorrow after work i will be taking a trip up to kingofwitches666 to pick up some great tapes, will post close up pics tomorrow night
