Yeah that's the problem with r2. The UK have had such a bad time with censorship (by no means the worst but still pretty bad), which is why a lot of DVDs I order from abroad unless I know they're uncut. I had a copy of The Cat O' Nine Tails which was severely cut. It was so bad the scene where the guy is pushed in front of the train all you saw was a reaction shot of the crowd. it wasn't until I saw the Blue Underground release that I saw how grim the scene really was.

And thanks for the verdict on Body Count, I may have to track it down now I've heard an opinion. How many different names is it known under, any idea which release is the least uncut?

Thanks

Case of the Bloody Iris got a uk release from Vipco in 2003.

Reaps the UK disc of Bodycount is cut, Hollywood submitted a pre cut verison ( same as cut vhs ), i'm pretty sure there is a uncut german disc though.

It would easily pass the bbfc now. The horror channel shown it uncut a few years back.

Strange that New York Ripper is still denied an uncut release in the UK as there's far sicker films out there. Sure, it's unpleasant and the mix of sex and violence always makes people nervous, but Ichi the Killer was as equally unpleasant, and Pieces was just as misogynistic. Funny how the BBFC really had a dislike for Fulci back in the eighties.

Oddly Pieces has never had a BBFC problem. Perhaps it was the bad chop suey.

I watched Pieces last night actually and noticed a really funny mistake in it. The scene where the killer stabs a woman in the back of her head and the blade comes out of her mouth, the shot where you seen him thrust the knife into her head the blade of the knife bends coz it's obviously a floppy prop knife, but for some reason they didn't cut the shot earlier so you see that it's fake. Never picked up on that before but it made me laugh

The whole film is hilarious mate.A real piece of Eurotrash class.
The Grindhouse release allows you to watch it with the thatre audience noise and reaction on the soundtrack....
