The Mile High Club, that sacred airborne institution and a featured trope of all aircraft based cinema where murder and mayhem is afoot. Although the happy couple here aren’t about to be set up upon by a horde of venomous snakes or sucked out of the toilet into the abyss, you can pretty much guarantee that their display of loose mores and liking for sex in semi-public spaces will see them come to a bad end at some point later on.
Such are the rules of the horror film. There are certain moral certainties in a scary movie -even if the film also spins East End gangsters, 9-11 paranoia, conspiracies theories, wide boy banter, damaged soldiers and back stabbing double crossers into the mix – and one of those is if you get laid in an airplane toilet, someone will take a blade to you before the credits roll.
