I love Buffalo '66. The photography is brilliant as is Vincent Gallo's depiction of a damaged man. Ben Gazzara's quirky performance is also a highlight. I think it's much better than Gallo's other film, The Brown Bunny. Talk about a film that drags with interminable shots of a highway and not much of anything else besides Chloe Sevigny on her knees.

The Purge (2013) Movie Review from Eye for Film

Quite liked The Purge - not much of a horror, but intriguing sci-fi / social commentary angle and decent home invasion thrills.

It's a really weird and wonderful film which is well worth watching. One thing is certain: you'll never look at a ladle the same way again!

Watched BRITTANIA HOSPITAL.

Genius really, Britain realised as a state hospital by Director Lyndsay Anderson. Massive inequality, constant strikes and inneficency. Class warfare. Its a broad swipe at britain of the late seventies and early eighties before margret thatchers government would take it and mould it into something much darker.
Malcom mcdowell gets top billing on the sleeve but its more an extended cameo. we also get some amazing perfromances from classic actors like leonard rossiter, Star wars star Mark Hamill and strangest of all cheeky chappie Robin Askwith!

Needs a quality UK blu-ray release soon!

Thanks to my good friend Delirium I have been able to watch a film that I have put off watching for 25 years or so, and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.

...What? You want to know what it was? Oh yeah, f'got 'bout that bit!
The film was...daa-da-d-da-da-da-thrrrup!

"Killer Klowns from Outer Space"

Why didn't I see this when it first came out? Because Pearl and I had only been married a few months, I was often at sea (yes Prince_Vajda, only mine wasn't pink but it was full of seamen and I was quite Able) and we were expecting the future "Daughter of Darkness", Katherine, and, despite what you're told in the recruitment office, an AB MEM(L), even in submarines, doesn't earn bucket loads. We never went to the cinema only rented vhs's rarely and were always cream crackered.

I think it was worth the wait I thoroughly enjoyed what is a great trashy movie and it didn't increase my coulrophobia in the slightest. Rating 7/10- too many clown shoes not enough custard pies!

You have noticed that my rating system has no logic behind it and is completely random, haven't you?
