I can vividly remember '77 - '81. That 1980 one is a classic season though. The crap we get late night now on BBC ..

By '83 I was down the pub.

To think I have NIGHT OF THE LEPUS on DVD because of all that...

Actually, looking back at the list there are some missing like ASYLUM. TALES FROM THE CRYPT, HORROR EXPRESS, CREEPING FLESH, TWINS OF EVIL, QUATERMASS XPERIMENT and probably more which I can't think of all of which I saw on TV at a young age so I can only assume they were one-offs. I can also remember watching DPOD and PIT & THE PENDULUM as my brother would try and scare me by wailing 'Bartolome!' at me so my memories must stretch back to some of '76.

These used to show up on ITV's Appointment With Fear series that ran around the same time. Their showings were a bit more erratic though. It was through AWF that I became acquainted with Madhouse and Countess Dracula. So no bad thing.

But anyway, there you have it

That is incredible, Mr Monia

Thank you so much for posting that

Plague of the Zombies is a favourite of mine! I can't help but cheer every time I see that decapitation scene

Yes I finally got to see ALL the Kolchak-Night Stalker episodes on this season though the end credits were removed.Central started showing the series first in the UK in 1983 but did not show them all which was annoying. There was also a lengthy season of Sci-fi films on BBC2 in 83 in the early evening which showed everything from It Came From Outer Space To Colossus-The Forbin Project.

That's where I got to see Kolchak too and it would be almost 20 years before I rediscovered the series, hence my signature pic and quote
