PSYCHO III is rather entertaining as well......can't remember IV much except the 'ET boy' plays the young Bates.
I'll need to revisit it soon.....

Why would you want to . . . ?

And what's this I've been hearing about another film version of that book. Thought the Christian Bale one was perfectly fine - what else can you do apart from up the gore n' sex (or is that the plan?) . . . ?

I know, it's stupid. Blurring the line between 'remake' and 'new adaptation of the source material' but totally irrelevant nonetheless. They should remake America Psycho 2: All American Girl though, in a way in which it doesn't actually happen.
Slippery Jack likes this.

The original Psycho is the best, obviously. But, after that, I caught Psycho II on the big screen and loved it.

I haven't seen Psycho IV, but II was fairly good and III was fairly mediocre. Neither comes close to the brilliance of Hitchcock's 1960 film, but they are worth watching.

The less said about Gus Van Sant's shot-for-shot remake, the better. It's competently made and the acting is solid, but Vince Vaughn's portrayal of Norman Bates doesn't work and it looks completely wrong in colour.

I'm surprised there are more votes for Psycho II than for The Original Is Best which should be the answer any film fan would give.
