I fully agree and reckon Eureka would've been better off leaving well alone.

The original SA artwork still rocks and always will!

The U.S. BR cover isn't an illustration as such, much more a concoction of stills and also could've been much easier on the eye.

The U.S. BD artwork would have been preferable to that dvd cover.

Default Lone Wolf & Cub dvd box set - R2 Eureka vs. R1 AnimEigo

Yeah, that UK cover stinks. I've got all the Animeigo Lone Wolf films on DVD and although the covers aren't great (they could've put at least a little imagination into them!) the quality of the DVDs themselves more than makes up for it.

I'm looking forward to the series being updated to BR, I'm definitely interested in upgrading the collection - I love those movies. Just a shame that the Shogun Assassin blu-ray has been confirmed Region A only. That one film is not enough to push me towards buying a multi-region standalone player yet.

C'mon spill the blood (oops, i mean beans!), Stevo!

What do you know about a British SA BR release that us fellow Itto and Daigoro devotees don't?

Please tell me the Lone Wolf is indeed slashing his way on to U.K. HD shelves shortly!

Fingers crossed it sells well enough that they give us the originals on BD. I could moan that I bought the dvds less than a year ago but with Eureka not using the poster for the BD cover, we may not see see the awesome artwork that was used on the dvds.

I've had the Animeigo's since they were released so I'm more than ready for the upgrades. The films die off a bit for the last couple but I'd still want the complete set.

As much as I love this series I doubt I will be upgrading to the Blu-Ray versions. I spent too much money on the DVDs back when they first came out. I may get the Shogun Assassin BD if the price were right.

Still need to read the manga.
