I highly recommmend the Severin double bill that is out on region one DVD - with Perversion Story (one of Fulci's best and most underrated efforts - along with Beatrice Cenci. Everyone should see this trippy hippy thriller):

David Gregory at Severin told me that The Psychic is their least selling disc. Let's try and start reversing this sad fact...!

I would buy that but I already own Perversion Story! The Psychic isn't exactly cheap from Amazon Marketplace, is it? I'll have to find somewhere else to buy it from.

There are some people selling it on Amazon Marketplace in the US and my uncle goes over there every so often so I'll see if I can wrangle it so a purchase works in with one of his trips. Fingers crossed!

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but a really special goody for "The Beyond" would be the option of choice between the color- or the sepia-opening, which was offered one some of the German/Austrian DVD releases of the film, but would be (as far as I know) a first for the English language territory.

I think it's actually on the grindhouse release mate!
No it´s not.

You can see this as an extra in the Grindhouse release but not has a branching option when viewing the actual movie.

I think that's what he meant.

Yeah, it's the same on the Anchor Bay tin.

Yes, that's what I was actually referring to, should have been more specific.

The German "Astro" and "Laser Paradise" DVDs included this branching option, which is quite a cool treat for fans of the film.

As a big Fulci fan I would really hope so. And maybe also release Woodoo (Zombie Flesh Eaters) and Nightmare Concert (A Cat in the Brain) on DVD/BD ... that would be great. All the good Fulcis really deserve their treatment. The 1980+ stuff (apart from Alice, maybe) should be forgotten, quickly.
