Oh no.
Is the Arrow announcement dvd only ?

As Amazon/Play are listing a Bluray would it make sense to merge the threads?

Assuming there is no Bluray for the time being , I wonder how many will buy the film on dvd again.

The ABUK disc was pretty good .

Is there a reason no Bluray is officially listed.

I must point out to Arrow that delaying a Bluray release may mean lost sales when it does eventually appear.

I already have Stendhal and Crystal Plumage on Bluray so it's highly unlikely I would buy them again.

Delaying means someone else could beat you to the punch.

It was only because the COTL releases from Arrow and BU were in the same week that people made a choice.

Had the BU release come out a month or two ago I'm not sure how many would have waited even though the overall package from Arrow is way out in front

It really wasn't.

The US non-anamorphic was better which is why I've kept that one instead. I've been looking to upgrade for years and this could really do with a definitive version. Sharp anamorphic picture, missing footage/dialogue with solid extras. I really want a BD but if not, I'll take the DVD for now.

I had the US one too.
Same extras on the UK one IIRC.

Anamorphic UK disc versus non anamorphic US one.

No contest

Regardless of the difference , it's not worth buying on dvd again

Some people would disagree.

Tenebrae comparison

The Dutch has little in extras, there's a French with forced subtitles. If one classic Argento movie needs a new DVD, Tenebrae is it. Just because you and I would rather have a BD doesn't mean there aren't people who'd buy the DVD, myself included if it was all that was available. I'm also surprised you'd be happy with a version with missing footage that is now readily out there.

I prefer the dutch dvd. Sure, it doesn't have any extras but the pq is much better than the Anchor Bay edition.

That is....perfect. Understated, but with an atmosphere of menace. If that's the cover art, consider it pre-ordered.

I'm sure Almar would have already thought of that, and decided that the official announcement of the title was worthy of a thread of its own.
