Smashing cover -- I really like that one. It is visually striking and is the sort of thing that will really stand out amongst the other DVD and BD covers in HMV or wherever.

I really like that cover but I think one of the panels still has to be the original Italian. It's too iconic to leave out.

I'd love a little extra with John Saxon as well.

I'm really looking forward to this release, the cover art is perfect so far. I have Sazuma edition, which always felt like a bootleg to me, and it's a letterboxed widescreen print so doesn't look as good when zoomed in to fit the widescreen TV.

Hoping Arrow deliveres a sharp anamorphic print

I have a Swedish DVD which is one of the best I've seen (think it's as complete as possible) but it's still a bit soft looking and slightly too dark compared to the cinema print I've seen.

After Suspiria (all ready done), I think Tenebrae would benefit the most from a BD transfer. It has not been served very well by DVD releases so far.

I'm getting super excited for this release! The first panel is great can't wait to see the other 3. Hope this will be a Blu-ray, this movie really deserves it!

This are some really good news. I can't wait to see tenebrae released with nice extras. I bet it's going to be given the blu-ray treatment.

I hope you're right, I really do. It is such a great movie that it deserves to look as good as it possibly can for the home cinema market and that probably means the expense of high definition remastering and a BD release.

Tenebrae comparison

The Dutch has little in extras, there's a French with forced subtitles. If one classic Argento movie needs a new DVD, Tenebrae is it. Just because you and I would rather have a BD doesn't mean there aren't people who'd buy the DVD, myself included if it was all that was available. I'm also surprised you'd be happy with a version with missing footage that is now readily out there.
I've seen the missing footage and decided it was not worth buying the film on dvd again just for those 10 seconds when a Bluray was the next obvious step.

Not sure what equipment those doing the comparison were using but when I got the UK dvd I compared it side by side to the US disc and the improvement was obvious.

Pity the US disc is worthless now , but so is the UK one . I got less than a fiver for the US one
