I wasn't so much bemoaning the BBFC ruling as commenting on the fact that several people, including myself, didn't really believe the BBFC would pay any attention to protest emails. As it turned out, I'm very, very happy to say, I was wrong.

I definitely appreciate that censorship in the UK has improved drastically and that the BBFC are more permissive than they once were.

Hi folks,

been meaning to join this wonderful forum for some time and now seems like the perfect moment - I looked at the title of this thread and assumed it would just be a recap of the Inferno cut and the reasons behind it.

Never would I have believed that a handful of reasoned emails from the people here would be enough to change the minds of the powers that be - surely this is unprecedented?

You should all be fantastically proud of yourselves. Thank you!
