I presume the recent Demons cinema screenings were used from the bluray. If so, can anyone who went to see it comment? I seem to remember someone on here (keirarts maybe?) mentioning it looked a little pale.

I shall be waiting for the reviews to start coming in before I decide to buy.I'm quite happy for the meantime with my AB DVDs.

It seemed obvious that the source was either the Blu Ray or the master the blu ray was taken from as the picture was WAY too clean to have been a print. What hit me first was the mono soundtrack. After watching a day of films with nice n' loud surround/stereo mixes, this seemed flat and oddly quiet. I wouldn't like to make final judgements on the picture quality due to eye fatigue and the fact it was on a proper cinema screen which is not a natural habitat for Blu Ray. What did strike me was how clean the picture was. They've either found an extraordinary source or the Italians have taken the ol' scouring pad to the print again. There was a bit of a TV movie feel to the the picture which makes me think the latter. Saying all that, I would like to see it in a home environment to make a proper judgement |

I'm excited about the blu-rays turning up. Feels like forever since the last Arrow blu-ray release.

?!
Just read this on Amazon uk, Demons 1&2 steelbook review (but it's not out yet!) What is this thing? "Partway through DEMONS, there is a break in the film, and an on-screen title comes up that says "End Of First Half", before continuing on with the rest of the film. This moment occurs, as the cinemagoers destroy the projection booth, and stop the film they've been watching from being projected. This issue does NOT exist in other versions of DEMONS I've seen, so I am a little shocked about this moment appearing in this release. It really breaks the tension of the moment, and it's a shame that Arrow have decided to include this in their version of the film. There's no real point or purpose, and it takes viewers out of the enjoyment of the movie."

What is the origin of this stuff? I rented the vhs in the 80's, I have the Anchor Bay dvd and the italian dvd, and I never heard of that!

They used to have intermission likes this in the theaters in Italy. So the BD seems to be from one of those theatrical prints.

Waiting for details about it, probably it's a minor issue but I am officially sad now.
