The John Hurt version? Yes. Great film. The book is amazing also if you've never read it before.

Yes. It is surprisingly affecting, perhaps even as much as the book.

This would be probably my 15th copy of this ... I've given a few away in my time, mainly the film cover ones .

I have the recent Penguin Modern Classics version, it's such a downer of a book I still have half of it to read still

Brutalising as it is ... I always feel cleansed after it.
This is what I meant by the hammer schtick. Break on through ... for real.
Have you read any of the 'cut up' trilogy?
They are just as cheery
And my posts would be transformed

Nineteen Eighty-Four with Hurt (and Burton in his last role) is a fine film. They did a good job condensing the book. The film pretty much lives up to Orwell's dystopian novel.

This was my first attempt at Burroughs. I guess I was expecting it to be more like Kerouac and Ginsberg haha... I was mistaken lol

That's the difference between smack and speed I suppose
I have no time for Kerouac.
Ginsberg I can take or leave.
