Hi Steve, welcome to the forum.

Do you mean Mile 81?

If so, no i haven't read it but i have read alot of King and think his short stories are actually amongst his best works, i can't honestly recall a poor short story by him so i would say its worth a punt.

Had a quick look and looks like a fun companion to the previous book Sex and Zen & A Bullet in the Head which I already owned.
Both are older books and cover mainly 80s/90s HK films (the Shaws are also briefly mentioned) but since they are my main interest I don't mind that at all.

Besides all the usual genres ("bullet opera",horror etc...),Hollywood East again has a (new) chapter on Jackie Chan,Wong Kar-Wai and the Shaws like in the first book.
Fun surprise:it also has a chapter on HK itself (back then) and how films were made there.

Ordered this cheap used from a NYC charity so besides getting a nice book,I also performed a good deed I guess.

Yours truly previously gave DVD Delirium Vol.2 Redux the once over and i'm currently reading the hefty FAB Press tome Any Gun Can Play:The Essential Guide To Euro-Westerns.

Next on the book menu, it's Cannibal Holocaust And The Savage Cinema Of Ruggero Deodato then The Complete History Of The Return Of The Living Dead. However, i'll only be reading the relevant portion of the latter tome dedicated to the first film in the series as i detest the sequels.

This publication should also make a lovely literary companion to the More Brains!:A Return To The Living Dead documentary DVD seeing as both releases are written by the same guys.
